A Walk to Remember - Nicholas Sparks

A Walk to Remember is in the romance genre. It's in Landon Carter's perspective, retelling his high school years, taking the readers back to his memories. When he was in high school, he was one of the cool kids, not too cool but he was best friend with the most popular jock which automatically made him cool. Then there's a girl, Jamie Sullivan, whom he knew since they were little, but they weren't close friends. Jamie is the only daughter of the minister. Landon ends up having to be friend her and eventually they get closer and closer.
"I'd love to," she said, "on one condition."
I steadied myself, hoping it wasn't something too awful.
"Yes?"
"You have to promise me that you won't fall in love with me."
I liked the book because it was very emotional. Nicholas Sparks always make me cry! Although I've already seen the film prior to reading it I just knew that the book would be some how awesome too and I wasn't disappointed. I just love the story line and the fact that he didn't drag it on.. although maybe if it was a bit longer it would've been even better.

I would recommend this to any readers who's into these kind of romantic beautifully written kind of books. There's nothing explicit so even young readers can read it, of course that's if they can understand the actual feelings and emotions behind the words. Ten out of ten :)
