The book is a like thriller/crime but at the same time information food for your brain, informing you stuff about Jesus and archaeology and facts that you'd never get taught in school. I liked it because the storyline was captivating and something interesting was always happening, which is probably why I finished it really quickly because I sort didn't let go off the book - no lies - and I really loved it. The author obviously spent a lot of research to write this book and I really appreciated it after reading because I learnt a lot of things from it. Also, Chris Kuzneski wrote it so that you're interested all the time, and he also uses a wide variety of vocabulary, but not toooo sophisticated that you get bored.
The book is basically about this archaeologist who finds this scroll which holds information which can possibly 'shake the very foundation' of the Catholic Church. And at the same time this was happening, 3 people were found dead, with only one similar pattern: they were killed the same way the Christ was.. they were crucified.. dun dun dun...
Again, I cannot stress enough on how interesting the book is, especially probably because I'm a bit of a book lover and also I'm Catholic. I recommend everyone our age and higher to read it. The reason why younger audience may not like it because it's quite gruesome but it's the reality of how Christ was killed so I had no problem with it but others may find it upsetting. It's a clever book.
Definitely 10/10!

WWW: well done, you obviously enjoyed the book a lot, you have written a good blog with a lot of detail but not too much to spoil the storyline.
ReplyDeleteEBI: maybe you could add some quotes in that you liked in the book.

Detailed evaluation of the book & why you enjoyed it so much.
ReplyDeleteWWW: Persuasive writing, short overview of the storyline whichs highlights the most important factors.
EBI: Err...it's hard to find fault! Maybe state the length of the book and the difficulty of the language, so potential readers are aware beforehand.

Wow, well done, although this is quite informal, you have definitely grabbed my attention and I really want to read it now. I like that you have kept it short, yet still told us enough about it. Maybe next time you could add a link to a trailer or something? Other than that, it was perfect:)
