Noughts And Crosses

Noughts and Crosses was written by Malorie Blackman, one of my favourite authors.

Noughts and Crosses determines the difference between black and white, how the World is different, and how lives are affected. Sephy and Calum are best friends, but Sephy's a Cross whilst Calum is just a Nought, a blanker. And they're best friends but the world does not accept this because of their skin colour.

Blackman really emphasizes the difference in their lifestyle, and she makes it emotive but really interesting. It was so emotional and I just wanted to keep on reading on, and it also had good vocabulary to learn from.

I would recommend it to anyone and everyone that is kind of mature because it may be a bit sensitive and contains inappropriate language and stuff.. 5/5

  3. Your blog would really pursuade me to read this book. I like the fact that you have given detail about the plot but not given the end away. You mention sensitive/inappropriate content but I agree that it would be good if you could clarify an age recommendation. But overall a very persuasive blog.

WWW: I've read the books myself, but reading your review would make me want to read it if I hadn't
EBI: Maybe you should have included an age recommendation or a recommendation for people who like this genre of book xx

  5. WWW: A very detailed, short summary of the book, which you have done without ruining the plot, making me want to read the book. You have added your own ratings and a summary of your opinions.

EBI: Maybe if you wrote about who you think the target audience is.

    Karina :P :)
