The Story
Love Aubrey is an inspiring story by Suzanne LaFleur of Aubrey’s life journey. When her family was involved in a car accident, her mom was too scared and left her daughter, Aubrey alone in the house with no one else. At first she found it very fun, but then she started to feel numb, not caring about anything else. After a while, her grandmother found out about her being left all alone.
Aubrey’s grandmother took Aubrey where the grandmother lives. At first she did not say anything and only communicated through Aubrey’s ‘Thing’s to do List’. Then they started talking and Aubrey found herself writing in order to let her feelings out. Aubrey found her new friend, in order to find herself happy once again, with her dad and sister, Savannah in heaven, and her mom far away somewhere.

My Own Opinion
While reading Love Aubrey, it was very hard to laugh or smile as it was very moving and emotional. I knew that it must be hard for Aubrey to still be happy but she still fought for happiness. It was a very inspirational piece of writing that must have moved and made people cry. After reading the book, it was very sad as I wanted to read more and know more on how she started to get along with her mom and how she moved on slowly and painfully, but very successfully.
My favourite is Aubrey's friend as she helped Aubrey realise that someone's out there that loves and care for her. Also, she was just a friendly and an understanding friend that helped Aubrey grow as a better person.
Hey Gelline,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your book blog. I love the fact you even included your own opinion and of a person who is your age this is what I can relate to. Perhaps mention what drew you in and why you decided to choose to read this book. Ciara : )
